My Pal® SHAPEMAN™ is our new line of colorful plush toys, designed and made in the USA!
Each Shapeman plush toy comes with a booklet entitled: "My Pal Shapeman says: Hey! What shape are you in today?!" Children can learn so much from Shapeman: shapes, of course!... and colors, too!... but also about expressing their emotions. In this booklet there is a page about geometric shapes, another page about primary colors, and three pages for children to write a story about what "shape" they are in, prompted by the description of Shapeman and how he changes shape.
These plush toys were inspired by Danny Boronat, a young man who has autism, who began drawing these characters when he was about 5 years old. He named them by their shapes, but we could not trademark generic terms like that, so we are using Shapeman as an all - inclusive name. The original drawings of these characters had a head with ears and hair, body, arms and legs, but for production purposes we had to eliminate the body and make them as you see here. Danny and other teens and adults with autism benefit from the sale of these plush toys, because our company provides them with a work experience in the assembly, labeling, packaging and shipping of Shapeman.
